Joseph C. Galanes
A long time native Vermonter, Joe was born in Brattleboro and attended the University of Vermont where he was a four-time All-American in cross-country skiing.
Joe went on to compete in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada. He graduated from Vermont Law School in 1994, and is licensed to practice in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Joe Galanes has practiced law in Vermont since 1994. His workers compensation and personal injury litigation practice has given him extensive experience in the federal court system, and he is able to handle litigation and Vermont’s state and federal courts.
He has also handled bad faith insurance cases involving denied workers compensation benefits. Joe can help determine if your insurance company acted in bad faith when it denied your claim, and he can help you get compensation you deserve and the benefits you need.
In addition to injury law, Joe focuses his practice on helping workers recover overtime pay. Many workers are illegally paid a salary yet federal law mandates that they receive overtime pay. Joe can help you learn whether you are entitled to overtime pay and he will fight to help you get all of the pay you are entitled to receive under Federal Law.
